About IV

This new album, the fourth on empreintes DIGITALes, brings together in contrast, three pieces of an abstract nature interspersed with two pieces drawing from soundscapes. These two facets have been an integral part of my artistic journey since the very beginning. The soundscape from which a perceptible musicality emerges and serves as a model, a material to be sculpted to bring it beyond the sound recording. And at the same time, abstraction in order to create new sound universes, devoid of references and therefore without sources of inspiration, while remaining attentive to the material.

À propos de IV

Ce nouvel album, le quatrième chez empreintes DIGITALes, regroupe en contraste, trois pièces de nature abstraites intercalées par deux pièces puisant leurs sources dans le paysage sonore. Ces deux facettes font partie intégrante de mon parcours artistique depuis le tout début. Le paysage sonore d’où émerge une musicalité perceptible et servant de modèle, de matière à sculpter pour l’amener au-delà de la prise de son. Et parallèlement, l’abstraction afin de créer des univers sonores inédits, dépourvus de références donc sans sources d’inspiration, en restant à l’écoute de la matière.
