“Louder Than Life”, in five movements, is dedicated to my dearest friend, composer Anders Blomqvist (1956-2020). While the work is intended to be listened to in its entirety; separate movements, or combination of movements, may also be played.

“Louder Than Life” was realized in 2020-21 at the composer’s studio in Gothenburg (Sweden) and premiered on September 30, 2021 in the Mehrzwecksaal of the Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien in Vienna (Austria) during the festival Echoes Around Me produced by The Acousmatic Project. The movement “Adagio” was awarded the first prize ex æquo (C category — over 50 years old) at the 12th Biennial Acousmatic Composition Competition Métamorphoses (Brussels, Belgium, 2022).

«Louder Than Life» a été réalisée en 2020-21 au studio du compositeur à Göteborg (Suède) et a été créée le 30 septembre 2021 dans la Mehrzwecksaal de l’Akademie der bildenden Künste Wien à Vienne (Autriche) lors du festival Echoes Around Me produit par The Acousmatic Project. Le mouvement «Adagio» a obtenu le premier prix ex æquo (catégorie C — plus de 50 ans) au 12e Concours biennal de composition acousmatique Métamorphoses (Bruxelles, Belgique, 2022).
